Elkem has a very small team that work with developing and maintaining Shiny applications for use in diagnosis and decision-making in production.
Deepansh has been a wonderful extension of the team. As our platform has been built by a mechanical and chemical engineer, there were loads of quirks and unconventional setups. However, Deepansh has helped us find the most sound and efficient solutions without compromising the applications. He's creative and independent, and has a knack for seeing straight to the core of a problem. He's a perfect sparring partner. When he's presented with a problem or a challenge, you can be sure to get a great solution within an amazingly short span of time.
His knowledge spreads far beyond pure programming. With us he's been dabbling in SQL databases, pipelines, APIs, key vaults, Azure DevOps, Copilot, machine identity and more. He's also grasped much of the domain part of the applications, working with first principle equations, statistical process control, material balances and more. He's helped us teach basic programming to some of our domain experts, helping us get more out of our data.

When Deepansh joined Appsilon he was quickly assigned to a project with me. We set to create Future Forests, a Shiny app showing how different climate scenarios will affect European forests, built in collaboration with the Polish Academy of Sciences.
From the get-go, Deepansh showed not only strong software engineering skills and knowledge but also a deeper understanding of what the app was meant to be, and importantly, what the users truly wanted and needed. He drove the development and direction of the app, delivering fantastic results and features: multi-language support, user analytics, excellent performance, and a mobile-friendly UI among others.
Later, Deepansh moved on to other projects, and regardless of whether they were community-based or commercial, he consistently drove meaningful impact for clients and internal teams alike.
Technical skill aside, Deepansh is a fantastic human being. He's smart, compassionate, and a real pleasure to work with. I genuinely loved collaborating with him but the thing I appreciate most is conversations about non-trivial issues (my favourite—coffee and climate change). Deepansh, keep on being amazing!

Deepansh has shown proficiency in R/Shiny. He has a lot of knowledge in building and designing APIs, ETL pipelines, and R/Shiny applications. He has several talks out there that already proves his technical skills and knowledge.
Deepansh is an innovator and a first adopter. He has the skills to solve problems using the tools he already has good grasp on and even with new tools that just came out. During my collaboration with Deepansh, his speed for learning has always blown me away. He may not be well versed in a specific domain, but he puts in the time and effort to gain sufficient understanding for him to produce the needed output.
Deepansh is a very good team player. He communicates well. We sometimes have different ideas about implementations, but it never became a disagreement. Every discussion with Deepansh is a learning opportunity. There is always respect, honesty, and clarity when talking to him. Deepansh never learns alone. If he learns something new, he will share and present it to the whole team, so we can all benefit from the new knowledge.
Deepansh should be in any team that wants someone skillful in tech and collaboration. I believe that even if Deepansh lacks something, he will be able to gain it at a high level when given the opportunity.
